The jury is still out on Windows 7 and I am not in the habit of beating up on another business. Visit the links I’ve provided on this page and form your own opinion.
Having said the above, I need to point out a few things.
1) Microsoft allows upgrades to “Qualifying Systems Only”.
2) thePCdoctor recommends the Microsoft ADVISOR TOOL that will help you determine whether or not your system is “Up gradable.”. What this basically means is that the system may support Windows 7, but it still may not be a “Qualifying System” - see above,
3) You must keep in mind, that your software may not be up gradable. and Heaven Help Us - it may not run at all. Microsoft does provide a “Windows Vista/XP” Comparability mode. But isn't that like 1 step forward, 2 back???
